“Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower” – Albert Camus
I love the months of September, October and November – the new school year signifies lots of new beginnings and September has proved a busy month for Weddings with Brides choosing bolder colour palettes of vibrant purple vanda orchids, deep reds of the last of the English roses and the beautiful flow of the vibrant green amaranthus which really brings a bouquet to life.
October leads us into to the rich reds and oranges of dahlias and chrysnathemums but also lets us play with pumpkins and mushrooms for a different table centre. It is also the month for Wedding Fairs and it is always uplifting to meet brides to be, so full of hopes and dreams for their special day. I love hearing about their ideas and do my best to create the perfect bouquet and arrangements just for them – I have even created a bouquet to look like a spider following one request.
November brings us darker evenings and crisp frosty mornings – I love echoing this in my bouquets using avalanche roses, spiky astilbe, bouvardia and brunia berries with the soft silvery foliage of senecio. Seasonal flowers and foliage ensure your bouquets look stunning and memorable not only on the day, but also in your photos.
